The thing I find really insane about this movie is that it’s basically just a rehash of those awful Seltzer-Berg parody movies from the mid-2000s, except it has an A-list cast because Jerry Seinfeld directed it. Everything about it is Seltzer-Berg in nature... -Bland cinematography that looks more like a commercial than a feature-film. -Humor entirely based on referencing things the audience recognizes. -No real structure to speak of outside a vague “plot” to hang skits off of. -Etc. It’s just an _Epic Movie_ or _Disaster Movie_ for the 2020s. That’s all it is.

2:10 Bullshit, Monty Python was a great mix between layed jokes & enjoyable dumb farces. It wasn't just "Ha, the opposite happened, Ha something silly in a serious situation, AREN'T WE CLEVER!!!". Just go to your retirement home Jerry.

That ending was chillingly good

As a European, I have never seen a pop tart in my life. What I found the most shocking in this film was this "greedy irresponsible capitalists - but let's pretend it's wholesome!" aspect.

So my mom had only seen the first few minutes of the movie during scattered work breaks and was telling me that it was pretty funny. I caught like the first 1/3 of it and didn't really laugh, nor did she. The next say she told me that, yeah, after watching the whole thing from start to finish, she didn't actually think it was funny at all. The idea of my mom thinking this movie was any kind of funny due to her job being so damn boring that day was the funniest thing about this movie.

Wow I've never seen this movie but I've heard about it being funny bad and I just realized the mom is the woman from David lynch stuff, mainly from twin peaks.

I might be alone in this but it's really grating to watch when you occasionally go on those long "dry humour rants". Like the YMS FNAF review, couldn't watch that video cause the voice ruined it. And now in this video with the "haha explain the bad joke" 15 times IN A ROW it's just painful to watch. Edit: I wrote the comment around 4 minutes in, now I'm 8 minutes in and it's still going. I feel like with your YMS reviws back in the days you would still criticize the movie in a more constructive and humorous way. Just my two cents, sorry if it comes off as really rude but I used to love the YMS vids.

Spot on about Larry David. I've always found Seinfeld's standup to be just mildly amusing, if that, and his tv show was elevated by the rest of the cast and writers. It was the only one of the glut of sitcoms, dumped on tv featuring whatever flavor of the month standup was hard-up enough for money and exposure to do a shitty sitcom in the 80's and 90's, that was actually funny, hilarious at times.. He lucked out by having David onboard ,first and foremost, then a bunch of funny regular cast members as well as guest shots to carry him, and to his credit he has always acknowledged that. This, though, is horrible. I only watched about 5 minutes of it to gauge if it was as shitty as I've heard.

I Still consider this funny as shit, that Adams head is hovering and the dog and tiger are sitting still. Am i right?

Honestly i always found seinfield boring. Even on his show his boring nature makes the crazy people work... it'd like if we were on a boat sure the anchor is important but the least fun or enjoyable item

If an actor can give the “ick” it’s Jerry. What a creep. Also, still think about that time that Ke$ha was so excited to see him on the red carpet and she asked for a hug and he said, “no! No thank you.” I understand people have boundaries but the fact that he had no clue who she was and was so rude about it, be even more kind to strangers! Don’t have to touch them, give them a fist bump, somethin’, he’s so dismissive, sheesh. He comes off super out of touch, rude and unfunny. Great video.

In the book he does kill the Spackle. And there's huge consequences. And also the spackle is kind of defenseless, weak and pathetic. He carries guilt forever. It's like a dark anti hero thing. But he can't kill a man. For the rest of the story it's a conflict - kill the bad guy? But then the bad guy wins! He makes me just like him! Yeah none of that made it into the movie, especially since he doesn't kill the alien even though it looks so scary and threatening
